I was sitting near a bog waiting for a photo of some wood ducks. They never showed, but this young Sandhill Crane did stop by with his folks. I made several requests for them to do something remarkable; jump, "shake your tail feathers", catch a nice big bug, anything, but then it dawned on me, simply being was remarkable enough.
